Gas Accretion from the Cosmic Web
Many galaxies crucially rely on accretion of external gas in order to continue their star formation. The source of external gas is cosmic web gas, ionised gas that traces out the large scale structure. We use numerical simulations to better understand the important parameters affecting the efficiency of the gas accretion process.
